New Events happening Next Week

Next week will be a very busy week at Southside Partnership DLR with events marking International Women's Day, Social Prescribing Week & Day as well as Southside Partnership DLR Enterprise Week. Feel free to join us to celebrate these occasions and find out more about the work we do and the services we offer. 

And many other organisations in Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown are also offering fabulous events, courses and talks (see below).

 

International Women's Day - Love, Good Health & Wellbeing at the Multicultural Women's Breakfast

Let’s get back again sharing food, meeting friends and making new ones at the Multicultural Women’s Breakfast!
 
The Southside Partnership Women’s Programme in conjunction with the women4women Network are inviting you to celebrate International Women's Day with us. This one is about self-love and also your physical and mental health. We’ll enjoy workshops including mindfulness, massage, connecting with movement, storytelling and dancing. It’s on the 10th of March 2022 at the Comhaltas Centre in Monkstown. Please check the flyer above for contact details. The DLR Social Prescribing Programme for Health & Wellbeing - Marking Social Prescribing Week 2022 / #socialprescribingday

Social Prescribing Week will be coming up from March 4th-11th 2022 and the DLR Social Prescribing Programme has organised two events to mark the occasion: our 'Getting Back to Walking - Walk & Talk Session' in collaboration with dlr Sports Partnership and a workshop on the Five Ways to Wellbeing in collaboration with Mental Health Ireland. Marking Social Prescribing Day -
A FREE Workshop on the Five Ways to Wellbeing


The DLR Social Prescribing Programme for Health & Wellbeing and Mental Health Ireland invite you to join us to celebrate International Social Prescribing Day 2022 with a workshop on the Five Ways to Wellbeing which are simple actions to practice each day to maintain or improve our health & wellbeing. The workshop will take place virtually via Zoom on March 10th 2022 from 3pm-4pm.

Getting Back to Walking - Walk & Talk Session 

To mark Social Prescribing Week the DLR Social Prescribing Programme for Health & Wellbeing and dlr Sports Partnership invite you to join us for a 'Walk & Talk' session in Dun Laoghaire where you can be active and connect with others.

Basic Communications Skiills Course

The Southside Partnership Women's Programme will have a 'Basic Communications Module coming up starting on March 30th. For more information please contact Marilyn Nyquist at marilyn.nyquist@sspship.ie. 

Jewellery Making Course

The Women's Programme invites you to join the Spring 2022 Water Painting Course. at their Furry Hill Community Centre, Sandyford Road, Ballally, Dublin16. Starts 4th March 2022 from 10.00am to 12.00pm. Fee: €20 on Registration and €5 per drop-in.

FREE Tech Tuesday IT Workshops are back!

St Joseph's Church has started a fabulous initiative in recent weeks. FREE Tech Tuesdays + Wednesday Workshops (for All ages) at St Joseph's Parish Centre, Glasthule, 10.30-12.00 am. Come along to have your technology explained. The sessions are on a drop-in basis.

NCCWN SWAN - Minding your Mental Health in Peri & Menopause

As part of the NCCWN Dublin Region Internatioal Women's Day 2022 Festival NCCWN SWAN will be offering a FREE online talk on 'Minding your Mental Health in Peri & Menopause'. Please contact Sandra at devworker.swan@womenscollective.ie or phone 086 174 4863.

As always Rosemount FRC are offering a fantastic range of courses this spring including an art sketching class (see flyer above), yoga, a walking group which meets regularly, a counselling service and many more course options.
