Dear Friends

This evening at 6.30pm we will celebrate Candlemas Eve.

It marks the 40th Day of Christmas when Mary Presents the child Jesus in the Temple.

The old man Simeon takes Jesus in his arms and declares that he is the light for all nations.

This is why it is traditional to begin mass by blessing candles and processing into church to symbolise Jesus-the-light coming into The Temple. 

Jonathan, our Bishop will celebrate the mass and Confirm Harry, and there will be a party afterwards.
