Message from the Division Director

Dear Colleagues,

I know we are all deeply concerned about the events unfolding in Ukraine, and my thoughts and moral support go out to all who are affected.

Just a few local updates:
  1. Congratulations to our many divisional members who received MD Program Teaching Excellence Awards this month.
  2. Resident Doctors Appreciation Week occurred earlier this month, and today is “Thank a Resident Day” in the US, but of course we are grateful to the residents every day. A special thanks to all of the residents for their compassionate patient care, clinical expertise, teaching of junior learners, and professionalism. And our thoughts are with all of the residents writing their Royal College exams in the near future. Good luck!
  3. GIM Citywide Rounds were cancelled due to COVID-19 in January and February, but will resume in March with an overview of the management of congestive heart failure. Also please mark your calendars for GIM Research Day in June; details below.
Sincerely,
Moira

Dr. Moira Kapral
Director, Division of General Internal Medicine, University of Toronto
