Garsington Opera

GO Create; the opera Imaginarium is a new digital resource created to engage young people with opera in an inspiring, accessible and fun way.

GO Create is filmed at Garsington Opera's home, an opera house set in the beautiful countryside. This short series introduces young people to the world of opera and everything that goes into making it. On stage, we are used to seeing a wonderful spectacle with singers, dancers, an orchestra and captivating design, but backstage and beyond there is an extraordinary company of people who make this happen. Through GO Create, we lift the bonnet on opera and look at what and who really make it work. We hope this will inspire and inform the next generation of theatre-makers to reach their full potential.

All episodes on Eugene Onegin are available here

Freya and the Return to the Shediverse by Theatre Shed
Due to Covid-19, this show had to be cancelled over the Christmas period, which was extremely sad for our members. However, we are back and ready to perform and the really exciting news is that now we have more time to once again collaborate with Singing Cactus so the show will be a mixture of live-action and animation – it’s going to be amazing!
Join us this winter as we take to the stage for the eccentric live-action sequel to our lockdown animation 'The Goat, The Shed and Me!' The shediverse has been infiltrated by a bunch of disgruntled Christmas decorations who have sent the portals into lockdown! Back on Earth, Freya's Christmas is at risk of being a total shipwreck! Follow Freya as she returns to the shediverse this winter and meets the new characters, all in a quest to find Greg the Goat. Is Greg really the only one who can save Christmas?

Family ticket: £25 (2+2) - Children & Concessions: £6 - Adults: £9

Fresh Works

Creative Industry Careers Event Produced by Georgina Frances from The Royal Grammar School in High Wycombe.

Georgina organised an excellent careers event for her students with some amazing speakers. Here is what she said about it: Every year I hold a Creative Industry Event for all my Year 9 and some Upper School. I invite guest speakers from across the industry to talk to the boys about their experiences within their area of expertise and how they ended up there. It is always a wonderful event. This year's line-up included a London architect, a graphic designer that worked with the crew of Top Gear and on magazines such as Good House Keeping, Tesco Magazine, Good Food etc, an old boy working on a Netflix Warhammer animation series, an Italian shoe designer, our Artist in Residence who produces ceramics for top-end restaurants and a storyboard that worked on Harry Potter, The Mummy, Wonder woman etc.
