...hang in there

Spring is just around the corner - you're almost there!  The energies of the last few months may have felt heavy, slow and treacle-like and that is kinda how Winter rolls and asks us to be - slower, hibernating, shedding.  If you aren't aligned and in flow with that, you may feel irritated, frustrated or angry by this slower pace. 

When you find your path blocked, the things you wanted working out differently to how you imagined, you can get caught up in the 'victim' narrative, the 'woe is me' story.  This can make the situation worse, especially over the Winter months when there is less sunshine to top up our dopamine and serotonin (hormones linked to vitamin D3 synthesis).  It is a time to really ground in to who and what you are here for so that you can nurture that over Spring.

Be mindful of where you are focusing on the things that haven't gone your way recently and choose to flip the script.  Find the gift, the joy, the magic in the situation, relationship or job.  Focus on expanding that thought pattern, so you can approach it with gratitude, as oppose to frustration, anger, blame or irritation.

January's beautiful group gong sessions reflected the positive energies of possibility that new beginnings bring - the New year, the approach of Spring and the Chinese New Year (Year of the Water Tiger).

Some of you may have attended our recent online talk on anxiety, following on from the talks focused on stress.  For those that couldn't make it, here's a little snippet of what we covered.

Your brain and your body are tools for you to navigate life and they are an awesome part of your unique team, working tirelessly and behind the scenes to keep you alive (and safe).

Anxiety is a state of unease which is manifested in your body and mind.  You may feel butterflies in your stomach, your heart beating harder or faster than normal or a change in how you breathe.  You may have constant or repeated thoughts or worries whizzing around your brain making noise and distracting you from being in the moment.  The good news is that these feelings are normal and natural and are part of the communications from your body and brain to the driver, the one in control and that is YOU

Stress and anxiety are inextricably linked and stress negatively impacts your brain and body functions so you can end up in a negative loop if you don't know how to step out or what tools you can use.  There's lots of information out there and help available - I'll be covering various tools, tips and therapies in the podcast series and speaking to a number of people with lots of experience (personal and/or in a professional capacity).  Let me know if there's something you;re particularly interested in learning more about and I guarantee I'll know a natural wellness advocate who will have some answers - or maybe you know someone or are someone who would love to join the party.  If so, do get in touch.

You are already perfect - go inside and listen to your hear and soul.  You are a fragment of the divine creator (whatever name you use for it) and you are needed.
