Welcome to....February?!?

Did January already come and go! We don't know about you but that absolutely flew by and we cannot believe 2022 has already kicked off.

For all our new subscribers welcome to our first e-newsletter of 2022. This is provided monthly and showcases what CYT and our youth have done over the previous month, as well as, showcasing what fun programmes and activities we have planned which your child can participate in.

The Hangout Youth Centre opened on Tuesday 1st February and it was fantastic to see some new faces and some regulars return (who have clearly grown over the summer!). We do wish to announce that the LAST MONDAY of each month The Hangout Youth Centre will be closed to accommodate staff training and our wellbeing day to ensure our amazing team take a moment for themselves to continue providing a great service for our community. The date for February we will be closed is MONDAY 28TH FEBRUARY.

 

Our team have been working on what the year looks like for our organisation and we are excited for all the exciting adventures we are planning and sharing this with you throughout the year.

Our Summer Holiday Programme was fantastic and full of adventurous activities taking us all over Central Otago - from the CO Rail Trail Bike Ride, Cromwell Paintball, The Playground and Queenstown and everywhere in between. Thank you to all the businesses and supporters of our programme.

We hope you enjoy the February e-newsletter and we look forward to sharing what's to come. Remember to follow us on social media to see everything we do and share to your friends and family so they can also catch up (and be slightly jealous) of everything the kids get up too!

COMING UP THIS JANUARY FOR OUR YOUTH

COMING SOON | YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

Cromwell Youth Trust have a fun Youth Development Programme (YDP) coming soon for this term! 'Let's Get Active' will be supporting youth to try something new or enhance their skills on things they may already know.

Keep an eye out in the coming weeks for when we officially release this for bookings.

WHATS NEW AT THE HANGOUT YOUTH CENTRE

The Hangout Youth Centre has had some changes over the new year! Now that our Youth Workers have a dedicated off site office space (yay!) this means we have been able to make our youth's space event better! We now have a cinema/chill out space, foosball table, air hockey table and more room for activities.

Come by and check it out!

HOW ARE CYT KEEPING OUR COMMUNITY SAFE

The Hangout Youth Centre, and our programmes, are a popular place for our youth and as we all navigate the current situation throughout the country, and world, we have put in place practices to keep all of us safe - youth, staff and community.

BREAKFAST PROGRAMME

It's BACK!
Cromwell Youth Trust have enjoyed bringing a FREE breakfast programme initiative to our youth throughout Term 4 or 2021 - thanks to Rotary Club of Cromwell, Kickstart Breakfast, Cromwell College & our volunteers - and we are excited to announce we will continue this for 2022.

Please be aware that we aim to operate this each Tuesday and Wednesday, beginning from Tuesday 8th February, but there may be times it cannot operate without notice due to staff being unavailable.
