This lovely renovation of Adobe’s office space in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle transformed a dated maze of private offices with low ceilings and drab finishes into a showpiece of color and light. From the logo-clad selfie wall to the pendant clouded café and through bright color filled circulation and meeting spaces, the Adobe culture of innovation shines though.
The all LED lighting system is designed to be as efficient as possible, while also being visually interesting by highlighting the colorful interior and providing moments of respite with amazing views out to the Fremont Cut.
LightWire out on the town - Wild Lanterns
As lighting designers, we are always drawn to events that focus on lighting up the night. This year, we attended Wild Lanterns at the Woodland Park Zoo for a fun filled and awe-inspiring rainy evening of illuminated art.
More than 300 internally illuminated “lanterns” made of fabric stretched over frames in a dizzying array of animal shapes filled the walkways throughout the zoo. Some of the lanterns were even animated, including fire breathing and bug catching. We highly recommend attending if this event is put on again next year.
