Over the past six months, our 2021 grantees have been hard at work implementing their winning ideas from last year's LA2050 Grants Challenge. Now, halfway through their grant period, we're excited to share some of the impacts that these organizations have made so far.
Below, you'll find three previews. Check out the complete updates on the LA2050 Blog.

LETICIA RODRIGUEZ | Executive Director, DIY Girls
My favorite Los Angeles places and spaces...
PLAY: I enjoy an outdoor walk and taking in some fresh air as I walk around the walking trail at El Cariso Community Regional Park.
CREATE: On my drive to the DIY Girls office in Pacoima, I get to see vibrant murals on Van Nuys Blvd. that were created by local artists. They have become such a staple in our community that they go by the name of Mural Mile.
CONNECT: Whenever I am looking to connect with myself and others in the yoga community, I pay a visit to The Wild Plum Holistic Spa & Yoga Center in San Fernando.
LEARN: When I’m searching for a good read I head to Tia Chucha's Centro Cultural and pick up some new literature. Not only do I leave with an enriching book, but I also leave feeling more grounded and centered in community and purpose.
LIVE: One of the greatest perks of living in LA is having access to such amazing parks and views. When I want to immerse myself in both, I head to the Elysian Park Trail which overlooks the city skyline.
