sAiNt jOaN
from the Colleges Nine and Ten CoCurricular Office, CLNI 85: Global Action class, Cultural Arts and Diversity Resource Center, and Oakland Theater Project

Join us Wednesday, February 9th at 7pm at the Merrill Cultural Center for a performance of sAiNt jOaN, a contemporary re-imagining of the Joan of Arc story seen through the lens of teenage girls in Oakland.
Humorous and harrowing, this 60-minute chamber piece unravels at a break-neck speed, alternating between realism and an avant-garde theatrical style as the past and present collide, turning the Saint Joan myth on its head and revealing how each of us is both the savior and destroyer of a burning world.

Learn more about the play in this video and for questions or accommodations, please email coco@ucsc.edu.
