Wheatgrass Books continues to offer events for the coming winter months.
Mike Petry is currently teaching a 6-week Graphic Novel Writing 101 class to ages 16 and up, which began January 31st. We hope to have an exhibition of the resulting artwork and writing in March.
Ulysses: A Reader's Support Group. Published in its entirety in Paris by Sylvia Beach on 2 February 1922, Ulysses celebrates 100 years in print this year. While reading whichever edition you prefer, we will listen to the RTE's 1982 Full Cast Audio Recording of James Joyce’s Ulysses and will meet to talk about a section of Ulysses twice a month, on the first and third Tuesdays. The goal being to finish reading the book before Bloomsday June 16th, 2022 while still avoiding any overly analytical approach that sucks the fun out of Joyce’s work
Dr. Catherine Raven, author of Fox & I, will be back on Saturday, February 12th at 2 p.m. for "Loneliness & Nature: A Literary Salon," an intimate gathering for conversation and exploration of the role that nature plays in tending to our human experience of loneliness. Fox & I has been long-listed for the 2022 PEN America / E.O. Wilson Literary Science Writing Award.

If you haven't already picked up one of Green Door Gallery's Walk on the Wild Side Tarot decks, be sure to do so.The decks are pretty fabulous thanks to the sixty-six artists who created the art work for the 78 cards that make up a tarot deck, plus the cover art.
