Amazing Testimonies

"When he came and had seen the grace of God, he was glad, and encouraged them all that with purpose of heart they should continue with the Lord."

For me, it's hard not to cry watching these videos. Angel, Yeni, Maurin... they are more than videos, they have become our family. God has done absolutely amazing works in their lives. They have grown incredibly, they are serving the Lord, and you can see the grace of God in their lives.

Please enjoy these testimonies and pray for them. If God touches your heart, please put them on your prayer chains as well. I know how much you all pray and support us, but I truly hope you can come to Peru and meet these wonderful people one day. I am amazed by the grace of God.

Free medical clinic in Huanchaco, Peru.

Free Medical Clinic

Last Saturday, CBI Peru and Calvary Trujillo hosted a free medical clinic in Huanchaco, Peru, and it was such a blessing. The clinic was for families and children who live in a very poor area, a former trash dump.

Our leaders, CBI students, and volunteers from Calvary Trujillo did an amazing job organizing, preparing, and serving. A family we work with in the are lent us their building, and we set up tents in a vacant lot next door. We send 70 gospel kits each week to children in this neighborhood, and continually minister to the families in this area. This was our first ever medical clinic, but it was such a success!

The clinic had a reception, medical building, pharmacy and gospel tent. We were able to treat 89 people and everyone was assigned a guide to help with the doctors, the pharmacy and the gospel tent. The guides prayed and shared the gospel with each person. We had Bibles, tracks, and reading plans to give to everyone who came.

The people of Huanchaco were very receptive to the gospel and prayer. Many received the Lord at the medical clinic. It was truly amazing! Praise God, and thank you for praying. Please continue to pray that we could plant a church in Huanchaco, and more consistently minister the gospel to these wonderful people.

Back to Perú

We are thankful and excited that we will be back in Peru on February 3rd! The follow up MRI showed no changes in my liver, and according to all possible imaging I have a small, benign node in my liver. They unfortunate aspect is that there is still pain and discomfort at times, but we feel we have eliminated the worst possibilities. I do have ulcers that we are treating with medication and diet. They would like to check those in late Februrary, but it is time we get back to Peru. We will do some follow up medical in the states in May.

Please pray for our family and the return journey, that we would continue to abide in Christ and embrace a life of faith.

Please pray for improved ministry rhythms, and a healthy life/work balance after almost 2 years of survival mode during COVID. We hope to work hard and also enjoy the life God has given to us, even when there are many difficulties. Pray that we find our rest in Jesus, and that he fills us with joy and thankfulness for wonderful life in Christ we have been given!
