RD38 MEETING WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 2ND AT 7 ON ZOOM
As mentioned in the last three weekly updates, the February 2nd meeting is now set as Zoom meeting at 7pm. The Draft minutes from the January 5th meeting are available as pdf and docx. Below is more information on a couple of items that will be discussed at the meeting.
NEW MAP OF SUSSEX REPRESENTATIVE AND SENATE DISTRICTS
Bill Weller, County Recording Secretary and RD20 Committee Vice-Chair created a map that shows both the RDs and SDs in Sussex. This is pending official maps expected later. This is a high resolution PDF of about 4 megabytes. Link.
COUNTY PARTY PROPOSAL ON FUNDS SHARING FROM REDISTRICTING
The County Party has drafted a resolution to the State Party as an alternative to the State Party recommended funds sharing rationale. This is just a draft circulated to the RDs for comment. I expect some revision. The key proposal features are: that funds reallocation be based on how registered voters were redistricted rather than how EDs were redistricted; and that the date for establishing funds to be shared would be November 2, 2021.
