DOMINIK HEMMI RECOMMENDS
SUN SPECTACLE AT MARTIN'S HOLE
Guata Tag! My name is Dominik Hemmi. I spent the last six months as an intern in the Economic Affairs & Communications Section and explored the many facets of New York by foot – typically Swiss, one might say. On my regular walks after work from Midtown to Chinatown, I noticed many striking differences between the hustle and bustle of the city and the small hamlet of ten people near Sargans where I grew up. However, the picturesque sunrises and sunsets between the canyons of skyscrapers reminded me of a particular highlight of my home region, Martin's Hole. Twice a year (next time on March 13-14, 2022) the sun shines through this natural rock window located in the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Swiss Tectonic Arena Sardona. Check out the video and be sure to witness this unique spectacle on your next trip to the Swiss Alps!
