Happy New Year, Happy Groundhog Day, and Happy almost Valentines' Day, dear readers. I hope this note finds you all healthy and in some way enjoying our beautiful Berkshire winter.

I'm with Ms. G! Although I've been mocked by many of my closest friends as I've pointed out recently how spring is in the air--ok, maybe "in the air" isn't quite how to describe it--I'm standing my ground: spring is  in the light! 

When I'm not clack clack clacking at the keyboard, ordering seeds and working on some behind-the-scenes website updates, I've been taking my cue from my four year old, and playing hard this winter. I've gotten back on skis and back on ice skates for the first time in years, and I'm noticing how the increasing light creates an ebullience in nature that seeps into our bodies .
