Dear Kesher Torah family –

What a wonderful kiddush we had last Shabbos honoring the birth of our new teeniest member Arielle Liah Loubaton. We wish the entire Loubaton family only Nachas! This Shabbos we are casually meeting after services for a L’Chaim and maybe some light noshes. If you would like to sponsor a kiddush, please let us know. We have planned dairy and fleishig menus with standard prices but may be able to make changes depending on the request.

This Sunday is Game 3 of our home run MLB program. This Sunday, February 6, MLB is being sponsored by the Werbin and Klugman families in loving memory of Samuel Werbin a”h. Please plan to daven with our Minyan starting at 9:00 AM Sunday (men please arrive a few minutes early to put on teffilin), have breakfast (I have heard it will be really good) and plan to learn with us, led by Rabbi Werbin. Game 3 is shaping up to be a really great event! MLB is opened to men, women, members and non-members.

We are adding programs, as promised, so please always scroll to the end of this newsletter to see what is planned for the future. Again, if you have requests or ideas, please let us know. Some of the best programs come from member ideas.

Lastly, we are working on some heightened security measures and future training with Secure Community Network, so please stay tuned for more information. This organization works with Atlanta synagogues to make certain we maintain a safe environment for all members.

Have a wonderful Shabbos!

Greg

By following these protocols all our members can feel confident that all reasonable precautions are being taken to ensure the safety of our entire community.
  • Anyone with any symptoms of illness should not come to Shul, regardless of whether or not they are vaccinated.
  • Individuals who are not vaccinated who have been exposed to a confirmed COVID case must quarantine at home and may not come to Shul until the quarantine is concluded.
  • Those in higher risk categories, including senior citizens and the immunocompromised, are strongly advised to check with their doctors frequently to get guidance based on current data and information available. It may be advisable for those in this category to avoid coming to shul at this time.
Per new CDC guidance for communities experiencing a “Substantial or High Transmission” spread like ours, please note the following changes to policy:
