Praise the Lord with us for His great goodness and favour! He has blessed and provided for us in countless ways, both physically and spiritually.

We have only had one instance of covid at Rescue 1. On Sunday mornings the children and adults join together in worship and praise to Jesus. They regularly give their offerings, which are used to purchase supplies for the poor who live near us. Jesus promised, “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (Luke 6:38) We are seeing the fulfillment of this promise! Cambodian businesses and individuals have donated supplies and treats numerous times. We also THANK YOU, everyone who has donated from Canada, USA and other parts of the world. We are so grateful for you for your gifts and prayer support.

For years we have been praying for the privilege of having our high school students take their education in our own school. Now we have this beautiful building, but we are stuck. We have not been able to find principals for our schools. Because of this, we have not been able to begin with our high school education on site. Our children are attending our primary school on site, despite not having a principal. Since the Lord has been so generous providing all we need, it is hard to understand why this need has not been met. Please join us in prayer.

Because of covid, the school year was not normal this year. Our grade 12 students at Rescue 1 took their final exam in December. Eleven of the fourteen passed this exam. They have now moved on to the capital city of Phnom Penh to attend university. Two of the ones who did not pass the exam have chosen to take a cooking course with the guarantee of a job afterwards. The other student will repeat grade 12.  We now have 56 students in university.
We are grateful for each and every House Mom who raises the children in her household as her own. The “mothers” of these students headed off to university will miss them! We do have houses which are empty at the present time, since we do not have enough House Moms. We have room in the remaining houses for the children. Please pray that we will find House Moms for these houses, so that we can have the homes ready for children will come to be cared for in all our Rescue homes. Currently there are 155 children at Rescue 1, 99 at Rescue 2, and 56 at Rescue 3.  Adding our university students, Grannies and adults coping with AIDS and their children we currently care for 430 people and have 82 staff members.

Health update about Marie Ens: Strength is returning gradually, and she is able to work some hours each day.  The doctor says she will not be back to normal until May. She is planning a visit to Canada in May.
