Join local artist Gaye for a fun session where she'll lead you through the process of creating your very own doodle art. No previous art experience is needed and all ability levels are welcome.  We'll supply all the materials you need.

Join Anna Fern, award winning performance poet, writer and editor to learn the art of creative writing.

No experience is needed as Anna will guide you every step of the way.

Amal Abou-Eid


Amal uses her writing to explain misunderstood aspects of Islam and hopes her books educate readers and give Muslim children stories they can relate to. Amal's books include My Muslim Mate and Why Does Mum Wear a Hijab.

Fiona Price


Fiona Price has a lifelong passion for words. She writes everything from speeches and poetry to novels and non-fiction. She has published two books: a novel titled The Ivory Tower, which is a contemporary retelling of Rapunzel, and a non-fiction book titled Success with Asian Names. Fiona is currently converting a series of popular songs into Shakespearean sonnets.

Anna Fern


Anna Fern has been working with words all her life. The first time she plucked up the courage to perform a poem out loud at a pub venue, she nearly died of terror. She's gone on to perform at venues around Australia and has run many live poetry events. Ennis Cehic


Born in Bosnia and Herzegovina Ennis Cehic migrated to Australia in 1997 from Germany where he lived as  refugee. His writing focuses on ideas of displacement, creativity and existentialism. His works, including essays, fiction and memoir, have been published in a variety of Australian literary journals and publications.

Imbi Neeme


A writer of long and short fiction, Imbi Neeme's novel The Spill won the 2019 Penguin Literary Prize and was published by Penguin Random House Australia in 2020. She is the recipient of the 2019 Henry Handel Richardson Fellowship for excellence in short story writing at Varuna, the National Writers’ House. Imbi lives in the west of Melbourne. Nean McKenzie


Nean McKenzie's first book, Cryptosight, was published in October 2019 and her second novel Xenoflight, is coming out in May 2022. Both books are stories for 8-12-year-olds about Australian cryptozoology (creatures that are not proven to exist). Nean has a diploma of Professional Writing and Editing from RMIT and writes regular book reviews for Buzzwords magazine.

Tai Chi


Join instructor Siew for a free morning session of Tai Chi in Logan Reserve, followed by a cuppa and a chat at the Centre. Tai Chi is a gentle form of exercise that has multiple health and wellbeing benefits and is often described as a moving meditation.

This program is supported by Altona, Laverton Community Bank.
