Canadian Reconciliation Barometer

Boozhoo, tansi, kíl 'láa, & hello from our team!

We hope that you are staying warm during our coldest months but nonetheless enjoying the wonders of winter.

Over the last few years, our team has been connecting with people across the country to discuss what reconciliation is, what they think about it, and how we can track our progress. We storied this work into two surveys and polled people across the nation to hear their perspectives on reconciliation. Like the chestnut-backed chickadee pictured above, our 2021 Canadian Reconciliation Barometer report is ready to take flight!

See https://reconciliationbarometer.ca for the report, report tables, and infographics.

The report focuses on Indigenous and non-Indigenous perspectives on our progress toward reconciliation in Canada. You can also learn about reconciliation progress in different regions if you’re interested in seeing how things are doing in your home(s).

Our team is truly grateful for all the guidance we’ve gotten along the way – every email, phone call, and conversation has helped to shape this project and make it what it is today. The Canadian Reconciliation Barometer shares our story, as those living in Canada, of reconciliation: where we are and where we need to go. We hope you can take a moment to read this story.
