Industrial action in February and March
UCU has now confirmed that there will be a further 10 days of strike action in February and March 2022. The days of strike action are allocated to the USS pensions dispute, or the pay dispute, or both.

SOS UK’s
SDG Teach In campaign will take place between Monday 21 February and Friday 4 March. It calls on educators to pledge to include the UN Global Goals for Sustainable Development (SDGs), in their teaching and learning throughout the two weeks. Take the pledge now.

COVID-19

Have you had a COVID-19 vaccine outside of the UK?
We're hosting a
Vaccine Verification clinic at our Southend Campus on Friday 25 February. If you've had a COVID-19 vaccine outside of the UK, this clinic will allow NHS staff to securely update your vaccination record and give you access to an NHS COVID pass.

Get tested at least twice a week if you're working on campus
Everyone should take a lateral flow test at least twice a week whilst working on campus. You can 
take a test at one of our clinics or collect test kits for use at home. If you test positive, please email the COVID-19 inbox.

We strongly encourage everyone in our community to wear a face mask indoors unless exempt to
help keep campus COVID-secure. Remember, you can use our PowerPoint slide and our opening statement for lecturers to help promote a COVID-safe campus.
