Cricket Teas

After much discussion and considered responses from players and clubs the Board reached a conclusion that for season 2022 Teas are not a league requirement. We will ask each club to say if they are providing teas, shortly before the start of the season.

Start Times

After much discussion and considered responses from players and clubs the Board reached a conclusion that for season 2022 the following start times will be applied:

For all Saturday fixtures up to and including the last day in August fixtures will commence at 12.30pm and for all fixtures in September they will commence at 12 noon.

All Sunday fixtures will commence at 2pm

All Cup games will commence at 1.00pm

Cricket Ball Orders

Its that time of year again and we would ask that clubs place their orders for balls prior to the 31 January by completing the linked Google Form.  The balls and the costs have not changed from last season.

GMCL Junior Competitions 2022

Please complete the following form by midnight on 28 February for entry into the 2022 season. As per previous seasons the draft structure will be issued at the junior meetings and amendments will be accepted until 20 March at which stage the fixtures will be put together and issued.

ECB Club mark

The attached information is being distributed to clubs by CDOs, and details the club mark process for all clubs in 2022. The process is similar for clubs reaccrediting, and those wishing to accredit for the first time.

The clubmark portal is not yet live, so this is for information for now, although clubs can start collating the evidence highlighted ready for upload.

In summary:

1.      ALL clubs that currently have Club mark will need to complete the new process as outlined in the attached document (no site visit is required)

2.     Clubs that don’t currently have Club mark but wish to achieve in 2022 need to complete the new process as outlined in the attached document, as well as undertaking a site visit

3.     All clubs, irrespective of current Club mark status, need to upload all relevant documentation and be 100% compliant on the Safe Hands Management System to achieve Club Mark in 2022.

Any club who are not accredited and require access to the portal should email clubmark@ecb.co.uk.

Rob Tipping is happy to answer any questions rtipping@lancashirecricket.co.uk

The ECB are unable to provide Club mark certificates at this time, which may be required for overseas player, licence applications, we have received the following message from the ECB:

‘Unfortunately, we are unable to provide certificates at this point due to a number of issues which I won't bore you with. If you need your certificate in connection with an overseas player licence, please submit your application without the certificate. The relevant team have a list of all accredited clubs and will check your application against that list. If you need the certificate for evidence for another reason, I will be happy to write a letter of confirmation if you provide me with the relevant information. My Action Replay Cameras

If any clubs want to order cameras this season the deadline is end of Feb and to email bill.elkin@aol.co.uk.

GMCL Management Structure

The League published its plans for a revised management structure, which requires additional volunteers to support the League moving forward and it’s pleasing that a number of people have stepped forward offering help.  To enable people to more fully understand what is required and the time commitment a meeting has been arranged to take place at Clifton CC Tuesday 8th February at 7.30pm.

If you have already put yourself forward or are considering to do so then why not come along and have a say in how the league goes forward and please consider the roles on offer.
