Mike Anderson from Louisburg, North Carolina, has been making fiddles for over 20 years.
His interest in carving started at 5 years old with a bar of soap. Eventually, wood became his material of choice, and he took up making bowls and spoons. But he craved a challenge that would keep him striving and learning in his craft. That's when he began carving string instruments.
One of the unique features of Mike's fiddles is the one-of-a-kind of scrolls he creates… a mermaid, an eagle, a lady's face.
