When it opened 48 years ago, Portland's Fremont bridge was, and still is, a decidedly modern structure spanning the Willamette River. The namesake, John Charles Frémont, was an American cartographer that helped map the West, and engendered the eventual conquest and modern settlement of the coastal states. In keeping with the Fat Pencil tradition for new staff, Megan explores the form and history of this iconic bridge while creating a digital 3d model from scratch.
