Welcome back to the LVRG!

I hope you enjoyed reading some short stories and quick reads!

As January comes to a close it's a great time to embrace healthy habits and focus on wellbeing, so this month you can take your pick!
From decluttering to stories of hope, and mindfulness to sleeping well, every one can find some thing to help in these collections!

Check out the eBook selections here and the eAudiobooks here

Happy reading!
BBC Read Easy Documentary

Read Easy is a fantastic national charity that helps adults learn to read and we partner with their local group Read Easy Bath to help adults in our community.
This week a new BBC Documentary was broadcast following presenter of Repair Shop, Jay Blades, as he works with the charity to learn to read.
You can watch it on iPlayer here!

Love to Learn

Ever fancied learning Makaton or interior design? Have a go at a half-day taster course for free! Bath College have taster sessions for their Part-Time Leisure Courses running during February.
See the free sessions and their full course brochure here.
Quentin Blake Documentary

The illustrator most recognisable for his work with Roald Dahl has been featured in a BBC Documentary to celebrate his 70-year long career!
This innovative programme sees him create a 30 foot long canvas as an auto-biography and also features a host of well known faces. Watch it on iPlayer!

HistFest

A fab collection of talks for the history lovers out there!
HistFest was a series of talks from authors and experts on events of the past from Checkpoint Charlie to Witchcraft and you can watch a selection of the videos over on their YouTube channel for free!

Head over to their page to watch!
Testers Needed!

We are looking in to getting some software to help organise our volunteering sessions and would like some of you to test it out to get your feedback.
All you need is an internet connection and a bit of time, and you would be helping us make decisions based on what works for you!

If you want to get involved, email Library_Volunteers@bathnes.gov.uk
Roll up! Roll up!
It's a fantastic new exhibition by local artist and Bathnes Librarian Kat Whelan!

You can see Kat’s incredible ‘Captivating Creatures’ exhibition free at Bath Central from Friday 21 January - Friday 25 February. This will kick start a series of exhibitions from different local artist throughout the year!
Thank you!
Thank you for sticking with us, we are slowly getting back to normal so hopefully we'll see you soon! Do email Emily at Library_Volunteers@bathnes.gov.uk if you want to chat!

Best wishes,
The B&NES Library Team.
