Guatemala Public Schools

Jan 11, 2022: FamilyLife Guatemala signed an agreement with the Ministry of Education to train parents and teachers in the public schools.

Major projects we've been working on…

Love Like You Mean It video course

Now in Spanish! The ten video sessions have been dubbed, the course workbook and the book are in Spanish. Please pray as we plan the launch of this new resource across Latin America in the coming weeks. Check out the online English version: the Assessment and Session One are free!

The Smart Stepfamily video course

The English videos as subtitled in Spanish with a full Spanish workbook! Check it out in Spanish (turn on the subtitles) or in English, if you don't already have an account with RightNow Media, you can sign up free here.

Spanish Translation Team

We now have a volunteer team of seven translators who are excited to put their skills to work serving Christ by providing high quality biblical resources for Spanish speaking families around the world. Please pray as we organize and plan for a productive year ahead!

Digital Library

Our digital library of Spanish resources is continuing to grow as we add newly translated materials weekly. Please pray that the Translation Team would be able to operate efficiently and allow us to continue building this blessing.

Acapulco

We have been invited to participate in a three-fold ministry in Acapulco. We pray this truly is the beginning of the end for COVID and that we will be able to follow through with this trip. We are working with the Acapulco Presbytery to:

  • Bring FamilyLife's The Art of Parenting to the the community through Casa Hogar, a home for children run by the churches of Acapulco. This will be a huge step forward in making biblical parenting principles accessible to foster and adoption families, and the community as a whole.
  • Train the pastors and church leaders in Acapulco and Ometepec to lead The Art of Marriage and HomeBuilders Bible studies in their own congregations and communities.
This will be our second "full circle ministry" - returning to continue ministering where Roger's parents started the ministry over 50 years ago. In 2017 we were invited to bring FamilyLife training to Querétaro (where Roger's parents ministered from 1990-2010), and now to Acapulco, where Roger grew up as a Missionary Kid from 1970 to 1990.
