Kia ora Freyberg Whānau,

With the recent nationwide move to the Red setting of the COVID-19 Protection Framework, we will unfortunately no longer be able to proceed as planned with our 2022 Meet the Teacher Day on Tuesday 1st February.

Due to the Ministry of Education directives regarding the management of our school site, having a large number of our whānau onsite at the same time will not be possible. However, as we continue to recognise the importance of establishing and maintaining strong relationships between our school and whānau, we have moved our 2022 Meet the Teacher Day into a virtual setting.

All Freyberg teaching staff will be available online between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday 1st February so that our tamariki and parents can spend some time meeting or re-familiarising themselves with each other before we welcome all of our learners back on Thursday 3rd February. The purpose of this brief introduction is to spend a few minutes getting to know each other, addressing any burning questions that you or your child may have and in some cases putting a face to a name!

Due to the constraints of an online environment, we have decided that booking in ten minute slots will be the best way to maximise the time that each whānau group is able to spend with our teaching staff - please head to the following link and book in a time slot so that we can learn a little more about each other!

Once you have booked in a time slot, please ensure that you have Zoom installed on your device and use the link contained at the bottom of the Booking Document to access the online meeting at the relevant time -

The classroom teacher will approve your access to the meeting at your booked time.

If for any reason you are unable to secure a time slot, please contact your child’s classroom teacher directly via the seesaw app or email admin@freyberg.school.nz so that an alternative arrangement can be put in place.
