What d'ya think...?

  • Is there enough interest in personal action to improve the climate for us to sponsor the Cool Block's approach to organizing neighbours?
  • What subjects do you think would be useful and interesting to cover in our upcoming Speakers Series (especially if you can be a speaker!)
  • What type of crafts you would like see taught at our Craft Nights?
  • Should we sponsor NFL Flag football at the rink?
Reply to this email or even better, smash that Register for AMA button, above!

See ya 'round, Nicola!

Nicola Tupas and her family are moving south, across Whyte Ave to King Edward Park. KEP caught a break there! Nicola has been an extraordinary volunteer in Bonnie Doon and is a real community builder. (And she enlisted Jan Perrin to manage our Facebook page)

Slow down, Sparky!

Does traffic in Bonnie Doon sometimes seem too fast to you? You have neighbours who are learning how to improve the situation. Join our occasional meetings as we work with the city to reduce collisions between cars and people. Write to Karen, visionzero@bonniedoon.ca.
It's so easy to let our speed creep up while driving (a motorized vehicle 😀). Please, pay extra attention to your speed near Bonnie Doon Park, Rutherford School and the field north of École Maurice-Lavallée. (Click above images to enlarge)

Rent Bonnie Doon Hall

We've been booking rentals in our hall for a few months. We have stopped renting to people planning large celebrations. The noise, damages and fussing about are not worth the effort. We are looking for renters who come from the Greater Bonnie Doon Area and/or want to mount an event of interest to our residents. [More...]

Most of the league's funding for operating programs and events comes from renting the hall.

Grateful

A big hat tip to Dan Haley and Morgan Haavaldsen for running Bonnie Doon Rink. The weather fought them hard this winter while they made and cleared ice. 🙏🏼
