UBS 2022 is projected "GO"

Almost every metric Houston Burners has been tracking to gauge the status of the pandemic shows positive change! See the full list here Go|No-Go Considerations UnBroken Spring 2022: Given these encouraging developments, Houston Burners will update on Go|No-Go projections by February 17th (earlier than previously).

Please read the full statement about the decision-making for UBS 2022 and voice your feedback in the UBS Participant Poll below.

Confirm your vaccination status with VaxYes (same free app that Freezerburn 2022 was using). The process takes a few minutes to start, and then can take from 2 hrs. to 5 business days to complete. All ticketholders will need to confirm with VaxYes to attend UBS 2022, so why not do it now?

UBS Participant Poll

Many community members have expressed hesitancy to participate this year until after a go-no-go decision is made. Fatigue is a reality, amidst so many canceled events over the last two years. That said, preparation for an event in 2021 (Lunacy) and preparation for Unbroken Spring 2022 have created new lasting momentum coming into the spring. All UBS Safety leads positions and area facilitator positions have been filled, along with many critical shifts. Sign ups are live and ready for registration here.

Community feedback is critical to understand the impact of UBS leadership team decisions, as well how we can burn together more inclusively in future. Feel free to share your thoughts about any and all issues.

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: FIRE
"Best seat in the house"

Fire: On-standby for a fire incident occurring in the City, ember patrol and providing fire safety during effigy and temple ignition and burn
Attend: Fire training provided by UBS fire team! We are blessed to have Sparky to train new volunteers. Shifts are easy, and we will train you.

SOCIALS AND TRAININGS

Jan. 29- Volunteer Open House & Social Come by virtually or in person at 2016 Johanna Dr. to prepare for UBS 2022 – ILLUSIONS.
Event and Department Updates & Intros 10am-12pm. Hospitality will be providing hot drinks, and snacks. There will also be time to help with ongoing Art Projects in afternoon session 1-6pm. FB event

Feb. 2- First Wednesday 2.22.22 Tutu Church Night Wear your Tutu or create your own at the Tutu making station, feel free to bring your own tulle, velcro, or embellishments. Featuring a few theme camps, food, drinks, art projects and more! FB event

UBS 2022 TICKETS

All ticket sales will go through UnBroken Spring website. Art tickets are On Sale and Tier 1 tickets will on sale January 31 2022.

Art Support: $100 + fees
Tier 1: $75 + fees
Tier 2: $85 + fees

UBS 2022 TICKET HOLDER POLICIES

All attendees to UBS 2022 must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. This means you have received all required doses of your vaccine at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the event. CDC recommendations will be followed and vaccination specifics are subject to change before the event.

All ticket holders will be required to provide proof of vaccination via VaxYes.

No refunds will be offered for UnBroken Spring 2022, but in the event of cancellation ticketholders may choose to rollover tickets to the next UnBroken Spring event.
