We have experienced a powerful and beautiful move of God in our district family. God has given us convictions and strategies that have begun to align churches and leaders at deep levels. This has brought a unity and selflessness to the relationships in our district. We will be having a gathering of churches and leaders in your area to give the Biblical basis for our convictions and strategies. (Including diving deeper into the 5 D's) Our desire is that you would come with your staff and significant leadership from your church.
All pastors & anyone part of an OVD church leadership team are invited to any of the OVD Envisioning's led by Brian Scott & the Multiplication Team.
2022 Envisioning dates & locations:
- Saturday, May 7 at Calvary Alliance in Cincinnati, OH
- Saturday, July 30 at Hope Church in Westerville, OH
- Saturday, October 29 at First Alliance in Lexington, KY

Update on OVD IW's
From Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, Envision workers Brandon and Bethany Nutter are developing the next generation of missional leaders.
|
|
The Nutters felt God calling them to minister to university students in Santo Domingo. As they were looking for a space to use for ministry, God led them to a building in His perfect timing. However, they were soon told by neighbors that the derelict gym on the main floor had been a front for what had been upstairs—a brothel.
A feeling of sadness and fear permeated the space. The Nutters spent time writing Scripture verses on the walls and praying joy and peace into every part of the building.
In that space, the Nutters and their team have established the Greenhouse student center, which serves as a coffee shop and a place for study, worship nights, and English conversation groups. After only four weeks of English conversation groups, a student reached out and asked for someone to study the Bible with them. God is already bringing fruit out of this ministry!
Through prayer, God has transformed this place of fear and sadness for so many into a place which shines with His peace and light. He is writing stories of redemption—not only for the building itself but also in the lives of students and locals.
Please share this story with your churches as a reminder of our Alliance vision: All of Jesus for All the World. As a family, let’s remember that Christ is our Savior and Healer—and that we get to proclaim the good news to the poor and the captive that He brings beauty instead of ashes, joy instead of sadness, and a garment of praise instead of despair (see Isaiah 61:1–3).

Church Planting Sunday
Save the Date - March 20, 2022
|
|
When disciples go and make disciples who go and make disciples, the church multiplies! The Alliance has been multiplying the Church in the United States and throughout the world for more than 135 years! Church planting is the best way to lead people to salvation, develop them into spiritually mature disciplemakers, and unleash them to impact their neighborhoods and the nations for Christ.
The theme of this year’s Church Planting Sunday is Don’t Plant Alone. It’s an opportunity for us to join those who step out in faith to establish gospel access in communities where people are in desperate need of the hope only Jesus can offer.

EquippingU Dynamic Influence is a two-year training track for pastors and leaders of Alliance churches with 200 or fewer people in attendance. Participants will meet online for four two-hour sessions each year. The training will cover timely topics including how small churches can grow during a pandemic. We are here to help pastors in small churches find resources, lead well, and help their churches thrive.
