2022 Water/Wastewater Rates
Changes to Water & Sewer Rates Effective January 1, 2022

Water and Sewer Rates in the City of Niagara Falls have changed effective January 1, 2022. Please visit the Water Rate Card on the website for more details. 

Did you know you can now access your water and property tax account through MyCity Dashboard? Simply create a profile and add your water account information for immediate access to view your information.

Facility & Service Updates 
 
With key public health indicators starting to show signs of improvement, the Ontario government, in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health, released details of steps to cautiously and gradually ease public health measures.

In keeping with these steps, the following City of Niagara Falls facility and services are currently open to fully vaccinated individuals:

City Administrative Facilities
Niagara Falls City Hall and the MacBain Community Centre Customer Service desk are open for bill payment without an appointment, but with proof of vaccination. At both of these locations and the WEGO Transit Facility, all other services remain available, however an appointment is recommended. In certain circumstances, alternative service delivery may be accommodated. 

Gale Centre Area
The Gale Centre, located at 5152 Thorold Stone Road, is open daily from 6:30 a.m. – 12:00 a.m. for ice bookings and recreational skates.

Indoor Walking Tracks
The MacBain Community Centre walking track is available to book between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding holidays. Reservations can be made on the City's online booking site, ACTIVE Net.

The Gale Centre indoor walking track is open daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors are required to check-in upon arrival, but reservations are not required. 

Niagara Falls History Museum
The Niagara Falls History Museum, located at 5810 Ferry Street, reopened on Thursday, February 3, 2022 with revised days of operation.

It is anticipated that older adults programming at MacBain Community Centre will resume on February 14th with details to follow.

COVID-19 Vaccinations
 
Walk-ins and appointments are now available for Niagara Region Public Health Vaccination Clinics. Eligible residents can walk-in, or book an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccination either online through the provincial portal at Ontario.ca/bookvaccine, or by calling the provincial booking system at 1-833-943-3900.

  • Feb. 7-12 – St. Catharines, Pen Centre (across from Old Navy)
  • Feb. 9-11 – Port Colborne Visitor Information Centre
  • Feb. 12 – Wainfleet, St. Elizabeth Catholic Elementary School
  • Feb. 13 – Port Colborne, McKay Public School
  • Feb. 13-21 – Niagara Falls, Canada One Outlet Mall (beside Urban Kids)
Who             
  • Those 18+ are eligible for a first, second, and booster dose
  • Those 5+ are eligible for a first and second dose

S'more Fun Days are Back!
Tobogganing and more at Firemen's Park

Join us for a fire pit, s’mores, hot chocolate, children’s activities and more at Firemen's Park (2275 Dorchester Road) this February 19, 2022 between 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Please note that if the weather conditions do not permit for tobogganing, the event will be postponed. The event is free of charge, while quantities last. Toboggans not included.

Sidewalk Snow Clearing

The City of Niagara Falls is launching its online Sidewalk Snow Removal Survey to help measure and better understand the needs and opinions of residents related to sidewalk snow removal during the winter months.

We will be considering impacts to inclusiveness, accessibility, and the financial implications of any changes and need your feedback!

Election Voting Methods
How Would You Like to Vote in the 2022 Election?

We would like to hear from you about how you want to vote in the 2022 Municipal and School Board Election! The City is considering voting methods that allow a voter to cast their ballot through methods such as vote by mail, vote by phone, and internet voting. Your feedback will help us make voting easier for residents and ensure flexibility for any future COVID-19 restrictions.
