The 15th RIAL/OAS Call for Bilateral Cooperation is now open!

The 15 RIAL Call for Bilateral Cooperation opened officially on January 20 and will remain open until March 1. This is the perfect opportunity for your Ministry to strengthen its programs or services through international cooperation based on a good practice from another Ministry in the region. 

The request form, as well as all the guidelines to participate in this Call, are available here. 

A Webinar to thoroughly explain the application process and a match-making session to find possible cooperation partners will take place on February 10. All are welcome to join!

IACML/RIAL Work Plan for the next 3 years will be defined this week  


The Planning and follow up meeting for the XXI Inter-American Conference of Ministers of Labor will take place virtually on February 3 and 4, with the main goal of defining the Work Plan of the Conference and its cooperation mechanism, the Inter-American Network for Labor Administration (RIAL). The new Work Plan will be defined by the authorities elected by the Conference last September and the Chairs of COSATE and CEATAL, representing workers and employers. To ensure that it responds to the priorities of all Member States, the Technical Secretariat made a broad consultation were 25 Ministries, COSATE and CEATAL defined their priorities and shared the achievements they expect from the Conference in the next three years.

Final Report of the IACML was presented to OAS Council  


On January 25, the IACML Technical Secretariat presented the Final Report of the XXI Inter-American Conference of Ministers of Labor (IACML) to the Inter-American Council for Integral Development (CIDI), Chaired by Ambassador Maria Roquebert, Permanent Representative of Panama to the OAS. Among the main outcomes of the Conference, the Technical Secretariat, represented by Maria Claudia Camacho, highlighted the participation of 30 delegations, 20 of them headed by Ministers, the undertaking of the first tripartite plenary session with delegations from workers and employers, and the renewed commitment to deepen collaboration with the education sector. She also shared the main actions of the IACML for the future, beginning with the preparation of the Work Plan 2022-2024.
