Congratulations to Chelsea Hunter!

Congratulations to this year's Big Buck Photo Contest winner, Chelsea Hunter! Chelsea is a 24-year-old Tallassee resident, and she harvested this 242-pound, 13-point buck on family land in Macon County on Jan. 4. We were excited to receive over 100 submissions in our contest this year. Bridge Crossing Jubilee in Selma

March 3- 6
The annual Bridge Crossing Jubilee in Selma is coming up! Selma and the Alabama Black Belt played a vital role during the 1960s civil rights movement, and the Edmund Pettus Bridge has become symbolic of the marches that took place there and across America. This annual celebration is a commemoration of the anniversary of "Bloody Sunday" and the 1965 Selma to Montgomery March. Join us for a celebration to remember!

25th Annual Monroeville Literary Festival 

March 4-5
As the hometown of authors Truman Capote and Harper Lee, Monroeville is proud of its heritage as the Literary Capital of Alabama. The annual Monroeville Literary Festival is coming up and includes two days of fun, food, and literary programming. The presentations of the Harper Lee Award for Alabama’s Distinguished Writer and the Truman Capote Prize for Alabama’s Distinguished Writer of Literary Non-Fiction or the Short Story will both continue as a part of the festival.
