This week at SOTH

From Pastor Kristen:

"Jesus has brought us to a level place where we are no longer poor or rich. We are no longer hungry or full, weeping or laughing. In this place, we look each other in the eyes and acknowledge who each other is: beloved of God. We are those loved by the God who created us.

"Our calling as the church, as followers of Christ, is to do our faithful best to be a community on a level place, to be a community who sees those around us – at work, at home, in the grocery store, at church – as beloved children of God.

"In baptism we promise to strive for justice and peace in all the world so that no one is looked down upon and no one thinks themselves higher than another. Jesus is among us today in the bread and wine of communion calling us to look one another in the eyes and in those eyes see Jesus. Amen, let it be so."
From Sunday's sermon, based on Luke 6:17-26

LuMin St. Louis
Dear SOTH Disciples - Than you for your faithful support of campus ministry in St. Louis in 2021. With your help, we've been able to be a safe place for students as they navigate their faith journeys, COVID transitions, and their studies. The community that is formed as the students gather provides home, love, and on most days, gut-busting laughter.  It is a holy call to be a part of this ministry.
Together in Christ, Pastor Tina Reyes

Feed My Starving Children
Dear Shepherd of the Hills, you are such a blessing. Your gift to the Atonement Lutheran MobilePack is sending 274 MannaPack meals to those around the world who need it most. Hope is greater because of you.
May God bless you, Mark Crea, CEO
