We would like to thank all parents, carers, and families for your support throughout this half term. Whilst we did not expect the half term to end with a day of remote working, we made the decision in order to ensure the safety and welfare of all our staff and students, many of whom travel significant distances to get to school. We hope that online learning has gone well today and that you are keeping safe and well.

We have not received any updated Covid-19 guidance, our advice at this time is that students should take an LFD test at home before returning to school on Monday 28th February. Please report positive test results using the form on the website this form and follow the self-isolation rules in place. If anyone has any of the Covid-19 symptoms (raised temperature, cough, change in taste or smell) then they should stay at home, self-isolate and take a PCR test.

School Charity Update

Evening of Dance

After school on Wednesday 16th February, 25 students took part in our first Evening of Dance for two years! While we couldn’t welcome families into school this time, we are proud to share with you the recorded performances from the evening.

Well done to all the students who performed on Wednesday night, they were Richa, Sharanya, Nishika, Francesca, Olivia, Emily, Shriya, Ella, Tamsyn-Grace, Nonofo, Amy, Eloise, Arabella, Sophie, Keira, Georgina, Millie, Freya, Emily, Karenna, Ophelia and Olivia.

Year 9 GCSE Curriculum Evening
- Tuesday 1st March

We are looking forward to welcoming Year 9 students and parents/carers into school for the GCSE Curriculum Evening on the first Tuesday back after half term.

The evening will include individual subject presentations and the opportunity to speak to staff and current GCSE students about their options subjects. Further details about the evening are being emailed to Year 9 parents.

Parents’ Association Film Night

SCGSG Parents' Association has organised a Movie and Pizza Night for Friday 11th March. Having recently carried out a survey of potential films, the winner was Disney’s Encanto!

Tickets for the film night will be on sale after half term and the event will be open to all students.
