2nd trimester AP Students:
If you have a student that is currently enrolled in an AP course (part A), and they are planning to take the AP test, they need to sign up to take the AP exam this spring.
They need to register on the Collegeboard website AND pay the fee in the guidance office.
Deadline is on Monday!

Local Scholarships
Local scholarships, for seniors, are now available on Schoology.
Students can find them under Groups/WHS Guidance Office/Resources. Scholarships must be submitted to the Guidance Office
no later than Friday, March 4th at 3:00 pm.
Late applications will not be accepted.

The WHS International Club is currently collecting shoes for the Soles4Souls shoe drive.
Their goal is to collect 1250 pairs of shoes.
Deadline is March 3, 2022 (end of trimester 2).
All gently worn shoes are accepted--even single shoes
Drop off locations are the WHS front lobby, and boxes located throughout the school for student donations.
Notice for 11th Grade Parents:
On April 5th, 2022 (make-up date April 19th, 2022), 11th graders will be taking the ACT during the school day. This is their opportunity to take this college entrance exam free of charge through the school district.
If students do not test at this time and choose to test at a later date it would be their responsibility to register and cover the $60.00 exam fee.
If you do not believe it is in your student’s best interests to take the ACT and you would like to opt them out of taking the test please contact your student’s counselor (Ms. Alger A-H & T-Z or Ms. Henn I-S). If you have any questions about this decision please do not hesitate to reach out to your student’s counselor or Tim Koschinska the ACT Test coordinator.

Saturday, May 7, 2022.
A detailed timeline will be available closer to the date.
The evening will start with Grand March at WHS.
Students will then be traveling to
Medina Entertainment Center
for dinner, dancing, and bowling.
The post-prom party will be held at Mall of America.

Student parking is located on the west side of the building, and is accessed at the west end of Community Drive. In addition, overflow parking is available in the WLC lot on the west side of County Rd 10. Student parking is not permitted in Reserved or Visitor spaces.
District 110 Teaching and Learning Advisory Council
Teaching and Learning Advisory Council (TLAC) is the formal advisory group for District 110 whose purpose is to review and advise on K-12 curriculum prior to presentation to the Board of Education. Parents and community members are an important voice on this council and comprise the majority of members. Other members include high school students, Board of Education representatives, and members of the Teaching and Learning Team. Four meetings are scheduled for this school year.
