Meet Our VP of Community Engagement & Partnerships
With roots in Central Florida, Addition Financial has a strong focus on giving back to the local community. Katie Thomason serves as Vice President of Community Engagement & Partnerships, where she oversees the credit union’s relationships with education partners, non-profits and other organizations to achieve a greater collective impact. Katie earned her BA and MBA from Rollins College, joining the Addition Financial team in 2008.
Through her role, Katie manages corporate partnerships, business development strategies and the Addition Financial Foundation. The credit union is proud to be the Official Financial Institution of the UCF Knights and the Preferred Credit Union for both Valencia College and Seminole State College.
“Giving back to our community is an important pillar of who we are as a credit union,” said Katie. “We believe in the power of giving back because it’s the right thing to do. Through each program and initiative that we offer, our goal is to make a difference for our members and for Central Florida as a whole.”
From the Classroom to the Track
As the new Name Image and Likeness (NIL) laws take effect, Addition Financial is proud to support student-athletes through innovative brand partnerships. In January, the credit union launched a partnership with Rayniah Jones, one of UCF’s talented Track and Field athletes. Working with Rayniah, the credit union’s goal is to help college students overcome financial hurdles and provide financial education throughout the UCF community and beyond. This partnership marks Addition Financial’s second NIL deal since the endorsement laws passed in 2021. During the 2021 football season, the credit union worked with former UCF quarterback Dillon Gabriel.
