Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time / 20th February 2022 - Issue 90

Hello <<First Name>>,

Change...
We love it or resist it.

We cope with it somehow by embracing it or slowing adjusting to it.
Either way, a change is just that, and our norm is adjusted.

There is a constant however.
"I am with you always" - a constant presence through all change.
Let us this week, feel the constant, as our world changes for what ever reason.

FAITH GATHERINGS

Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time
When we do good to another, it can sometimes be in return for what we have received. At other times it can be done in the hope of getting something back. Or we may do it simply for the sake of doing good without any strings attached.
Jesus suggests that this is when we are at our best.  Jesus proposes the generosity of God as a model for our generosity, and says that the generous will be rewarded.

Prayer
Compassionate God and Father, pour out your love upon us, that with good and generous hearts we may keep from judging others and learn your way of compassion. We make our prayer through your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

PASTORAL AREA NEWS

NEWS FOR SACRAMENTAL PARENTS 2022

Due to lack of attendance, the Alpha Faith Formation programme for Confirmation Parents has been cancelled, as the foundation for relationships was not laid, which was necessary to continue with the topics comfortably.

If your heart made you register in the first place, maybe it will lead you to the next Ruah Sunday?
Come on this Sunday, 20th of February, to The Holy Rosary Church at 6:20 pm and draw from the breath of God. Families preparing for Confirmation are very welcome.

Are you curious to learn more? Read a little more on what is this about?

A LITTLE LIGHT SHINING
Lisa and Natalia, the Sacramental Co-ordinators, have been driving about the Pastoral Area in recent days, visiting some of the local schools. It has been wonderful to meet some of the children in person and their teacher.

Natalia and Lisa are encouraging the children to sing. Natalia brings her guitar along too.
There is great singing taking place all over the Pastoral Area especially for the upcoming Sacrament of Reconciliation liturgies.
If you would like to join in, so you can sing it with your child or grandchild at home - check out here the words and a version of This Little Light of Mine - we all learnt it at some point and it is not easily forgotten! So sing along!

Diocesan Synodal Pathway

Next weekend we will have speakers at each of the Masses with insights into the Synodal Listening Process which will take place during March within our Pastoral Area.
