> Enhance Your Course
An easy way to encourage student curiosity, pique their interests, and connect SLOs to the real world is to post additional resources in your Canvas shells. Adding more resources is a great way to plan and prepare for each learning module. Start by looking at websites, blogs, scholarly journals, and videos you already know about. From there, search for information that will be relevant to any of the SLOs for that module. Finally, copying the source websites in a document can help organize your materials so you can post them throughout the semester.

Information Literacy
Tech Tip
> Reliable Sources
According to the most recent research by the Pew Research Center, 72% of Americans use at least one social media site. People from various backgrounds and professions now use platforms such as Instagram and YouTube to share their knowledge with others. Telling students about information social media accounts could be an engaging way our students can learn more about their program outside of the classroom. Make sure the accounts we share with our students are from professionals in the field giving accurate information, not just someone who is popular with a lot of followers. Click on the button below to learn more about evaluating social media accounts.

FGEP Focus
> Learning Facilitation
The Faculty Growth and Evaluation Process (FGEP) is an evidence based approach to growth and development. The four domains of the FGEP are planning and preparation, professional expertise, learning environment, and learning facilitation. Improvements to the process (effective Spring 2021) include revised rubrics and centrally located activities within an FGEP Canvas course. This month's focus is the Learning Facilitation rubric. Click the button below to get some ideas of how you can demonstrate the criteria:
