Location Change for Our February Meeting!

Join us on Wednesday, February 16th for our next MDWC meeting. We'll be meeting at 2914 Monument Avenue, which is a change from the printed program schedule.

February is National Heart month, and we have a wonderful speaker who can get to the “heart of love” through her books. Carolyn Greene is a bestselling author who writes both romances and mysteries. The Richmond area native has been nominated and received a number of romance writing awards. She hails from the Museum District and spins her novels around Richmond. Her most recent work, the Southern Blessings inspirational romance series, is a trilogy set in Carytown, and rumor has it that her next book is set along Monument Avenue. Let’s wear red for Valentines and fall in love with Carolyn Greene's stories!

January Meeting Recap

Thanks to everyone who joined us virtually in January to make Valentines for the Giving Heart. We were blown away by the creativity and thought that was put into crafting these cards for independent-living seniors in our community.

A Heads Up for Our Meeting Next Month!

Our March speaker is The Crunch Fairy, Shannon Campbell. Shannon makes handmade boho tie dye pieces, such as apparel, bedding, tapestries, and more. She'll be showing us how to make our own tie dies, so come prepared with a pre-washed and dried 100% cotton t-shirt if you'd like to participate. Also bring a plastic grocery bag, as the shirt will need to stay in the bag for 24 hours. You'll be bringing the t-shirt home with you that night!

If you love the Museum District Woman's Club, you'll love being on the board. We're currently looking for volunteers for the following positions for next year.

Period Happens, Period.

We're partnering with Period Happens, Period to provide women's sanitary products (pads only) to Albert Hill Middle School. Bring your donations to any of our meetings this year.
