CALL TO ACTION !!!
OK2A is aware that SB1366 by Sen. Paxton, is scheduled to be heard, tomorrow, Monday, 2.14.22 in the Senate Public Safety Committee is a BAD bill in its current form. Sen. Paxton is the Chairman of that committee. We do not want to believe that Senator Lonnie Paxton (R) would want to continue a petty retaliation against Don Spencer, President of OK2A in Senator Paxton’s solo futile attempt to have him removed as the President of OK2A over a public comment Don made at a open public meeting in Duncan, OK back in December 2021, stating "We will win at the Ballot Box, so we don't have to go to the ammo box". It took a MONTH for Sen. Paxton to get offended enough to call for Don's resignation. (The OK2A Board of Directors have already said, IT AIN"T HAPPENING!)
So, Sen. Paxton is the author of the cobbled language of SB1366, shown in the text, above. Constitutional Conservative Legislators typically consult with Don on language technicalities they are proposing in their bills they wish to introduce but Sen. Paxton, in his petty grudge-match with Don has cobbled-up a bill that would make Open Carry citizens of Oklahoma, carry openly ON THEIR BACKS!
You may also have noticed, THERE IS NO DEFINITION OF "FIREARM" in the bill, so it's really unclear as to what you can and can't Open Carry ON YOUR BACK.

It would appear Sen. Paxton might consider consulting with an expert, like Don Spencer, when drafting legislative language like other Constitution Conservative 2nd Amendment supporting legislators do.
Sen. Paxton stated in a press release, "I have supported and continue to support the efforts of OK2A in their goal of protecting the Second Amendment..."
It also appears Senator Paxton has lost his way in defending our rights and we ask you to influence in any PEACEFUL way possible for Senator Paxton to work with Don Spencer of OK2A so we can continue to Protect and preserve our 2A rights. OK2A has SB1131 that will clear all this up and is the agreed to language by OK2A and Oklahoma Municipal League that should be advanced, heard and voted on. We are asking you to NOT support SB1366 and support SB1131.
