The 25th World Scout Jamboree

The 25th World Scout Jamboree is fast approaching, and 7 scouts from the Adur Valley District have been selected to represent their respective Scout Groups in South Korea in Summer 2023. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the Global Scouting Community with over 40,000 Scouts from 150 countries taking part!

We are reaching out to you to kindly ask if you can support our young people with any of the following;

❖ Sponsorship from your own business or your employer
❖ Local Community Funding or grant monies that could support them
❖ Donations for raffle prizes, help towards food and beverage for events
❖ Sharing this letter with your networks to widen our support
❖ Cash donations
❖ Any avenues for funds you think we could try to apply for

You can follow our progress on our website here or on Facebook via

A Good Thing: Matchmaking businesses who care with local charities

A Good Thing is a digital ‘matchmaking’ platform which aims to link charities up with local businesses that have things to donate. This includes surplus equipment, products and spaces. All you need to do is sign up to the free app on the website and make a request for the things you need. The founders say that the process is: “as easy as booking a room on Air BnB”.

Give it a try.
