What's coming up!
Next week – 21–27 February – marks Cancer Prevention Action Week. We have lots going on and we’d love you to get involved!
Throughout the week we'll be urging the British public to look in the back of their cupboards and make heroes of their everyday basics – such as pulses, canned veg, and tinned tuna. We know it’s not necessary to eat heavily marketed ‘superfoods’ to reduce your risk of cancer. The real super foods are the cheap, nutritious cupboard heroes many of us already own.
To help inspire people to whip up delicious, simple dishes using these ingredients, we have created a Cupboard Heroes recipe generator. Why not take an early peek, rustle up a meal and share pictures of your creations during the week, tagging us and using the hashtag #CupboardHeroes & #CancerPreventionActionWeek.
We'll be kicking off the week by releasing the results of our ‘State of the Nation’s Storecupboards’ survey – followed, later in the week, with a news story on the findings from a new research study into low meat diets.
We’ll keep you up-to-date with a special Cancer Prevention Action Week email next week, but until then you can keep an eye on our social channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn).
