BUNTING FOR THE QUEEN'S PLATINUM JUBILEE
We are expecting many people to visit our churchyard on Sunday 5th June as the church is going to be the main entry point for visitors to Horsley Towers for the East and West Horsley Parish Councils Community Picnic (which includes tours of Horsley Towers and our own Mausoleum).  We would like to line our pathways with Jubilee-themed bunting.  If you are interested in making some bunting please contact Jean Leas: jeanlees116@gmail.com or  0772 757 286.  Jean will also be available after the 10.30am service this Sunday.

LENT COURSE: FINAL CALL
This year's Lent Course is called 'Living in Love and Faith' and will begin during the week of 7th March.  'Living in Love and Faith' explores Christian teaching and learning about identity, sexuality, relationships and marriage.  There are three courses to choose from.  Two will be in person (Thursdays at 8.00 pm and Fridays at 2.00 pm)  and the third will be on Zoom (Wednesdays at 7.00 pm).  There are sign-up sheets in the church or you can email the parish office with your preference.  Please note that venues for the in-person courses will be decided when numbers are known.  parishoffice@easthorsleychurch.org.uk   This weekend is the final opportunity to sign up.

DEANERY SYNOD OPEN ZOOM MEETING 23rd February 2022 at 7.30 pm
As the Area Dean for the Leatherhead Deanery, I co-chair the Deanery Synod and would like to extend an open invitation to our next meeting.  The main focus of the meeting will be to hear about how our local borough councils are responding to the plight of refugees.  The meeting is on Zoom and you can email the Parish Office for the Zoom details.  Robert Barnard, Kate Ryder and Paul Whaley are St Martin's Deanery Synod Representatives.  Do join us if you are able.

CHURCH FLOWERS
Many people find that having a floral tribute in the church is a nice way of commemorating a loved one, perhaps on the anniversary of a death or birthday. The person is also remembered in our weekly mailing (see below for an example).
Please contact Noreene Weir on 01483 282518 or email norry.weir@virgin.net.

FOODBANK
Please remember that the Foodbank is relying on our generosity to continue providing food to those in our village in need.  Please do not donate out-of-date items as they cannot be used.
The Foodbank is in need of tinned meat, tinned vegetables, tinned spaghetti hoops, sponge puddings, tinned custard, UHT fruit juice, fruit squash, sugar 500g, savoury snacks, pasta sauce in jar and laundry powder.  Thank you so much for your continued support.

MORNING PRAYER WITH THE DEAN OF CANTERBURY

now and for ever.
