Stay Alert: Air Tags

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is warning the public about individuals potentially using Apple AirTags to track property and people with the intent to commit crimes such as robberies, auto thefts, stalking, or other offenses. While there have been no reported cases in the District of Columbia, there are documented incidents within the National Capital Region.

The AirTag technology has become increasingly popular, and can be used to track property or individuals which alerts the owner of the AirTag of its current location. If an AirTag is in close proximity, you will receive a notification on your Apple device. If you receive a notification, and believe you are an intended target, immediately call 911.

If you have an Android device, we encourage you to download the “Tracker Detect” application, which identifies item trackers in your vicinity that have been separated from their owner for a certain amount of time. For more information on how to track Air Tags, check out this article from Wired.com.

PANTONE BLACK
More information here!

In Partnership with Artfinder, 11:Eleven gallery is proud to present ‘PANTONE BLACK’.

Pantone (meaning “all colors”), have identified well over 100 shades of black. This vast scale of blackness perfectly reflects what it is to be a Black person in the world today; there is no single shade or culture to define one’s role in, or contribution to, Blackness.

PANTONE BLACK challenges what many perceive to be a Black monolith. Each of us has our own character that distinguishes us from the next person, much like any ethnic group, however, there are also profound and cultural consistencies that unite us as a people.

Featuring artists from New York, New Jersey, Baltimore and of course, Washington DC, PANTONE BLACK serves to highlight the dichotomy of our experiences as Black people, while maintaining the festivity and joyous celebration of our diverse culture, our history and Fine Art.

We hope you are enjoying all that your neighborhood has to offer! Be aware of your noise levels as you are making your way through your community and know that many community members may be able to hear you, especially late at night.
