"The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of it's members." - Coretta Scott King
Welcome back ladies and gentleman! The City of Cordova ENEWS is making a comeback with a slightly new look and feel with the same goal of keeping you all informed on upcoming events and happenings within the municipality.
Most importantly we are looking forward to the upcoming elections and encourage you all to research your candidates of choice and vote on March 1st!
The ENEWS will be sent out biweekly the first and third Friday of every month as to follow city council meetings which fall the first and third Wednesday of each month.
This is where I kindly plug the importance of attending your local city council meetings and invite you all to listen in on March 2nd @ 7pm as an informed community is a community that can make productive decisions together and constructively problem solve.
If you would like to contribute to the ENEWS please email pio@cityofcordova.net.
The next City Council Meeting is Wednesday March 2nd @ 7pm. Join in person at the Cordova Center in Community Room A&B or follow along online at the link below.
Community participation is welcome and encouraged!
March 1st the community will be voting on ballot prop 1! Ballot Prop 1 is the concept of potentially adding a drive down dock to our harbor to increase our accessibility to vessels, it will replace creosote pilings with steel pilings and improve our water quality. If you have questions about this project please reach out to our local Harbor Master Tony Schinella.
Any thoughts or concerns especially from those immediately impacted in that area would be very helpful. This is an opportunity to share.
Thank You!

If you have not experienced this project it's a genuine artifact of our small town uniqueness and if you have a fondness for creativity you will find it quite endearing.
