 EURAXESS Africa is one of nine hubs all around the World spreading free of charge information on EU research and policies, career and funding opportunities, networking and collaboration possibilities.
EURAXESS Africa is an initiative of the European Commission established with the aim to provide free access to information about research in Europe, opportunities for research funding, international collaboration and trans-national mobility. It links researchers in Africa to Europe. Furthermore, the network is open to all nationalities and research fields.
EU-Africa Business Forum 2022
The 7th EU-Africa Business Forum (EABF22) will take place online (with limited on-site presence for speakers and moderators only). Co-organised by the European Commission, the African Union Commission, as well as EU and African business organisations.

Open Positions on ERC Research Projects
The EURAXESS Jobs portal currently lists 319 opportunities on ERC-funded research projects.
Recipients of ERC grants can use their funding to recruit other researchers and team members of any nationality for their project. On average, each team has 4-5 members.

MSCA-PF Call 2022: Get your application ready for Europe's most prestigious postdoctoral fellowship
The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions are the European Union’s reference programme for doctoral education and postdoctoral training. They contribute to excellent research, boosting jobs, growth and investment by equipping researchers with new knowledge and skills. They foster research cooperation across borders, sectors and disciplines. The 2022 Call for Application for a MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA PF) is due to open on 13 April 2022.

OPPORTUNITIES: ERC Calls 2022/23 – Tentative Dates
ERC offers bottom-up grants for fundamental research projects in any field. The ERC’s total seven year budget is €16 billion. Annual spending varies, but in 2022, the agency will spend €2.4 billion to fund some 1,100 projects. Similar numbers can be expected in 2023, with the biggest budgets usually allocated for starting and consolidator grants (around €750 million for each call in 2022.)
The tentative schedule for the 2022 and 2023 calls has now been published allowing researchers to start preparing their applications.

Tunisia is the first African country to join EURAXESS
Tunisia is the first African country to join EURAXESS. The official launch (kick-off) of Tunisian EURAXESS Network was organized on Friday, November 19, 2021, with the presence of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Moncef Boukthir and enhanced by the presence of the Ambassador of the Delegation of the European Union in Tunisia, Mr. Marcus CORNARO.
