There is a light at the end of every tunnel. Some tunnels just happen to be longer than others.

Greetings Laurel Hall Families!

As we have done for the past two years, we will continue to follow the recommendations set forth by health experts in response to the coronavirus. I thank you all for your patience, understanding and cooperation as we adapt the ways in which we operate in the face of the coronavirus pandemic. As restrictions are lifted, our priority remains with the safety and security of the children, staff, and families.

I am happy to report that the County of Los Angeles Public Health has announced “the requirement in the health officer order mandating masking outdoors at schools, childcare, and for youth sports is lifted” as of February 16, 2022.

Please keep in mind that this does not change the indoor mask mandate. Per state regulations, indoor masking at K-12 schools is still currently required. We will continue to enforce the use of a mask to be worn properly indoors at all times, unless while actively eating or drinking.

According to the LADPH, indoor masking will be removed when:
  • LA County has seven consecutive days at or below Moderate Transmission (10-49.99 new cases/100,000 persons in the past seven days), AND
  • There are no emerging reports of significantly circulating new variants of concern that threaten vaccine effectiveness.

The state will also provide an updated assessment on February 28 on appropriate safety considerations for schools.

While masks are no longer required outdoors on the campus of Laurel Hall School, we respect everyone’s right to wear a mask outdoors if they so choose.

Have a wonderful four-day weekend!

Jay
The Elementary Instrumental Concert has been re-scheduled for Wednesday, February 23 at 6:00PM in the ELC sanctuary.

MONTHLY SCRIPTURE

FEBRUARY SCRIPTURE

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”
John 3:16-17
