"I Was In Prison . . ."
Kairos Ministry Team, Coastal State Prison March 17-20, 2022
Yes, we all have heard Jesus’ commission to visit those in prison. But, some of us feel called to other ministries, are uncomfortable entering a prison, or are physically unable to do so.
THERE IS GOOD NEWS!!
Deacon Greg, Deacon Kirk, Jared Hanks, and Max Belz are serving on a Kairos team that will be in Coastal State Prison from March 17-20. YOU can help the entire Kairos team to honor His Commission in a couple of ways:
- Prayer Coverage
A commitment to provide prayer coverage for the team by signing up on the prayer chain that Fr. Craig will place in Hebron Hall. You enter your name and city as indicated on the sign-up sheet. Your entry will eventually be assembled into a REALLY LONG chain that will be presented to the inmate participants during the weekend. It is important for them to know that people they don’t know are praying for them.
- Financial Sponsorship of an inmate/participant
A full or partial sponsorship of an inmate/participant. Our out-of-pocket costs for food, supplies, and program materials are approximately $125 - $150 per participant. Full or partial sponsorships are welcomed. The volunteer team members pay for their own expenses. Accordingly, your tax-deductible gift goes 100% to the participants. Brochures containing detailed information are available in Hebron Hall. Alternatively, you can give a check, payable to Kairos Prison Ministry International, to any team member or write a check to CCA with “Kairos” on the memo line. You may also make a designated gift on our website using a credit card.
Please speak to Greg, Kirk, Jared, or Max with any questions.

O God, the strength of all who put their trust in you: Mercifully accept our prayers, and because, through the weakness of our mortal nature, we can do no good thing without you, grant us the help of your grace, that in keeping your commandments we may please you both in will and deed; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
