This monthly interactive webinar series brings together experts in menstrual health and hygiene from across research, policy and practice to discuss key emerging issues such as the menstruation-related challenges faced by people in prison. Find out more here.
 
RHSC & MHM in Emergencies Working Group: Webinar series on menstrual waste
There is limited research globally on understanding the environmental impact of menstrual waste and identifying appropriate management solutions in LMICs and humanitarian settings. This three-part webinar series starting on 1 March explores the existing evidence and need for future investments. Sign up for the first webinar here.
 
Understanding the Menstrual Health Landscape in East Africa  
This discussion series seeks to identify and better understand successes, challenges and gaps associated with menstrual health policies, laws, frameworks, and practices in East Africa.  
  • Date 1: 23 February will focus on Tanzania and Kenya.
  • Date 2: 3 March will focus Rwanda, Burundi, and Uganda.

New resources

Menstruation in the workplace
USAID's Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Partnerships and Learning for Sustainability (WASHPaLS) invested in action research in 2019-2022 to better understand the relationship between menstruation and women’s opportunities for economic empowerment and growth. They have released a wealth of learning briefs, webinar recordings as well as behavior change communication materials.
 
Menstrual hygiene spaces in humanitarian settings
Y-Lab used human-centered design process to design and build safe, semi-permanent latrine and bathing areas in Bidi Bidi Camp in Uganda. Read the article with their findings and recommendations.
