Division Meeting: Beyond the Classroom and High-Impact Practices 
All staff are invited to attend the Division Meeting 9-10:30 a.m. Feb. 25 on Microsoft Teams. Pam Bowers, associate vice president for planning, assessment and innovation, will discuss Beyond the Classroom Matters, and Jennifer Keup, executive director of the National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience and Students in Transition, will describe the state of High-Impact Practices.

Discover UofSC is a system-wide showcase that brings together undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and medical scholars to present research, creative, and scholarly projects to the university community and beyond. Register as a reviewer or volunteer.

Submit an announcement for the next Stay Informed
The deadline is noon Wednesday for the following Monday.

Dan Friedman, University 101 Programs, gave the plenary address on “The Purpose and Power of a First-Year Seminar” at the 41st Annual Conference on the First-Year Experience in Orlando, Florida.

Nick Dukes, fitness assistant director for Campus Recreation has joined us from University of Michigan. He will be the primary contact for Group X, personal training and our fitness-based spaces and equipment.
 
Ronnie Simpson, assistant director of services and events for Campus Recreation has joined us from University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. He is the primary contact for memberships and special events.
