Did you know Kansas Connecting Communities (KCC) can help you identify and develop resources to support your work addressing perinatal mental health and substance use concerns? In addition to these monthly emails and quarterly newsletters, the KCC website and Perinatal Provider Consultation Line are also helpful tools to utilize when looking for a resource. Consider bookmarking or pinning these links somewhere staff can easily reference! Also:

  • KDHE’s MCH Integration Toolkits, including the perinatal mental health and perinatal substance use toolkits, have recently been updated. This update also included weblinks, so be sure to update any bookmarks or links you have had to these.

  • A number of KCC partners and champions have identified a need to better understand the availability of resources related to perinatal loss. We will be continuing this resource discussion in our February newsletter, but for now here are several resources recommended by our KCC partner and PSI-KS chapter president, Mel Hoffman: PSI Loss & Grief During Pregnancy, Shades of Blue Maternal & Mental Health Resource Center, and the KIDS Network of KS

In need of free CE opportunities?

Still looking for a resource related to perinatal behavioral health? Email us at kcc@ku.edu and let us know what you would like to see in these communications to best support your work!
